I do have two guesses so far. One strong guess about a script I didn't even read yet. Logline says it all. Could be wrong though.

I know, I know - that's why I didn't write my guesses.

Half way through, my top 3 so far

1 - Mother Nature's Joke
2 - Not Today, Gucci
3 - A Game Of Supers

Okay, so when is it acceptable to reply to the comments made on your OWC?

And could someone please 'splain to me how the voting works?

Really enjoying this and having fun reading all the scripts.

Haven't read the others.  Hey did you ever submit the one you sent me?

Have started reviewing but just wanted to point out to perps that any low scores I give your script won't necessarily be for poor writing just purely on the comedy lol.

So don't curse me!

Have found 2 so far that are too long so have put them aside

Quoted from Gum
Anyway, the character was 'Pink Freud'. I had him take down a bunch of Gummy Whale poachers in a place called Candyland. He's a gumshoe detective, and (almost) every line he delivered was a mash-up of a Sigmund Freud quote with a Pink Floyd song lyric. The script was in the vein of 'Kung Fury'... hmm, now that I say that out loud, it's probably best I didn't submit, lol.

Please post this. Sounds like fun. Pink Freud sounds like an original character too.

I'm also a huge Pink Floyd fan. Owned nearly every album by the time I was twelve, minus The Final Cut and the Barbet Schroeder soundtracks. Prefer early Floyd though (pre-Dark Side of the Moon). Not that the later albums aren't awesome.

I like this challenge.

Yeah, there is hit and miss, but the turn out has been good. And it's enjoyable. Thirdly (note humour) this varies the OWC options. Fifthly I can count again.

I think we should do one of these per year.

My scripts  HERE

The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Semi Final Bluecat, Runner Up Nashville
Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final
Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards.  Third - Honolulu
Ultimate Weapon - Fresh Voices - second place

Hold off on replying to the comments on your thread until the names are revealed, which is in about a week, I think.  If you entered, you'll receive an email with a ballot for your voting.

I agree, this sounds original.  I think he meant that he didn't want to see Batman called Matbam or something along those lines.

I think if Peter Porker wasn't already a character, that might have even been okay.  I mean, a spider web-weilding pig, what's not to like?

So, yes, please post this.  I too, was a pretty big Floyd fan.  I won tickets to their concert in Toronto a long time ago.  So much fun!!

True story, if this is your first attempt, you won't last a week.  Hell, I've entered two of these so far and I haven't lasted a week.  I'm not sure I'll ever  go a week without outing myself and acting like a fool...

Notice I said acting like and not an actual, there is a difference

Hey, Dan. What do you mean by not lasting a week? Someone comes and kills me? My script is taken down? No one comments on my script and it fades away to nothing?

He means you won't last a week without making it clear that a certain script belongs to you, by replying to those who have left comments on your script.

Sometimes people getting a little excited when they get bad reviews and they feel the need to explain themselves before the week is out, so we all know who wrote it before the reveal... don't do it.
